Under section 48 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended, Planning Authorities may make a development contribution scheme in respect of certain public infrastructure and facilities provided by, or on behalf of, the local authority that generally benefit development within the administrative area of the Council. Monies collected under Development Contribution scheme are allocated to the funding of public infrastructure and facilities described in section 48(17) of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended.
The public consolation on the County Wide “Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Draft Development Contribution Scheme 2023-2028” is open from 30 June 2023 and will run until 5pm on 14 August 2023. You will find attached a copy of the draft scheme and a copy of the public notice with information on where and how submission can be made of the draft scheme by members of the public.
