Leitrim and Roscommon County Councils are commencing the preparation of the Joint Carrick‐on‐Shannon Local Area Plan 2024‐2030. This Joint Local Area Plan (JLAP) will be the first joint Plan for the town and will have a strong focus on the development of both the Carrick‐on‐Shannon and Cortober areas of the town. The JLAP will set out the overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of this settlement for the period of the plan, and beyond.
