The Office of Government Procurement (OGP) plays a leading role in public service reform through delivery of the Public Procurement Reform Programme.
A career in the OGP offers our people the opportunity to do purposeful work, which makes a real difference to the Irish State and its people. The OGP is proud of its work in creating a supportive environment for its people to develop, contribute and lead.
We regularly seek sourcing/procurement professionals, at all levels, from early career to senior levels in all of our locations. You can search and apply for jobs in the OGP on publicjobs.ie
The OGP is headquartered in Dublin with offices in Spencer Dock. We also have offices in Cork, Limerick, Sligo and Trim, Co. Meath.
As a member of our team, you'll experience the benefits of a supportive and inclusive culture where your unique talents are recognised and valued. We pride ourselves on creating an environment that fosters engagement, innovation, and personal growth.
The OGP people strategy, EMPOWER, which was co-created in conjunction with our people is our commitment to making the OGP a Great Place to Work. Underlying the entire EMPOWER People Strategy are the dual themes of Leadership and Trust. We commit to supporting our people in enhancing their capabilities while carrying out purposeful work in the OGP and commit to fostering a great culture where they are encouraged, coached and trusted.
Our strategy has enabled the OGP to become one of the first civil service organisations to be certified as a Great Place to Work. Through our comprehensive learning and career development supports, we enable our employees to grow their capabilities and careers while working with us, and our blended working programme and wellbeing initiatives ensure that you can grow your career while enjoying a better work life balance and doing meaningful work.
Developed by our People and Culture team, the OGP Leadership Model lays out the OGP’s commitment to identify, build and enhance leadership capability across the organisation.

To support our colleagues when developing their leadership capability, we have created our Leader 360 Development Programme. This programme enables all of our OGP people to map out their leadership development journey to achieve their leadership goals.
Our Values guide our behaviour in our organisation and ensure that we all contribute to a culture where everyone feels respected and motivated to do their best work for the Irish public.
Our Values are:
• We Care
• We Empower
• We are Inclusive
• We Lead the Way
• We Make a Difference
In the OGP, we recognise the importance of employee wellbeing and work life balance. Our colleagues enjoy a range of flexible working options including blended working, shorter working year and part time work options to help balance work and life. In addition to flexible work practices, our comprehensive wellbeing supports include a range of financial, physical and mental wellbeing initiatives to support our colleagues. Our employees can also access the Civil Service Employee Assistance Programme to help when they experience difficult circumstances and our mental health first aiders are on hand to help employees in difficulty.
The OGP is committed to supporting our colleagues’ career development and growth. We believe that investing in our people is essential. We provide a range of resources and opportunities to support the ongoing development of our people. From comprehensive training and workshops, to coaching, mentoring and further education, our people are empowered with the developmental supports to excel and grow. We foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging colleagues to explore new areas, take on exciting challenges and expand their horizons. With a strong emphasis on career progression, we offer clear pathways for advancement and provide regular feedback and coaching to help our people achieve their goals. Our people tell us that the development opportunities offered to them are really valued. Our colleagues consistently rate the learning and development options highly in our Great Place to Work surveys, and in our most recent survey expressed 93% satisfaction with the career and development opportunities available to them.
Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of the organisations values. We understand that a diverse and inclusive workforce leads to innovation, creativity and success. We are proud of our culture, where individuals from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives feel valued, respected and empowered. We foster an inclusive culture through training programmes, workshops and open dialogue, which promotes an appreciation of different perspectives and experiences. We celebrate the unique contributions that each individual brings to the OGP, recognising that diversity is a powerful catalyst for growth and transformation. As an organisation that serves the public, we want to be as diverse as the society we serve. We are an equal opportunities employer and aim to ensure our staff are treated with dignity and respect.
