If you’re looking for something to wear for a special occasion that you might only wear once, why not think about renting or borrowing?
There are a number of clothes rental services popping up around Ireland, that you can visit either in-person or online.
You can wear something that maybe you wouldn’t be able to afford to purchase, but really enjoy it for a special occasion, before returning it for the next person to enjoy.
Clothes swaps are another great way to refresh your look, while making space in your wardrobe at the same time! Bring clothing that you don’t reach for anymore and swap them for a few new pieces for your next night out, or maybe some workwear.
These are popping up around the country, and if you can’t find one close to you, you could organise one with friends, family or colleagues.
Preloved and second hand are great options, giving clothing a new lease of life. You can go to a charity shop for your next purchase or donate the clothes you loved while also helping someone in need. You can find a charity shop near you on the Charity Retail Ireland website .
