Nursing Home Support Scheme Rental Income Review
This review was carried out in line with section 45C of the Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act 2009; (1) The Minister shall, 6 months after the coming into operation of section 82 of the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Act of 2022, carry a review of the operation of the amendments to this Act, effected by Part 9 of the Act of 2022. This is with the purpose of establishing the impact of reducing the financial assessment of rental income on a Principal Primary Residence (PPR) to 40% in the Nursing Home Support Scheme (NHSS).

A report setting out the findings and conclusions of 60% disregard of rental income from a Principal Private Residence in the Nursing Homes Support Scheme financial assessment. The report was conducted to set out options for continuing with this rate or further reducing it to 0%.
