The White Paper on Enterprise recognises the importance of clustering to sustain and develop competitive advantage in areas of strategic importance and potential, in particular the twin transitions of green and digital. This will be achieved by way of a centrally coordinated, cross-government approach to clustering.
Ireland already has a young, but developing, clustering landscape and it is proposed to build on the strengths and opportunities this presents.
Grant Thornton, on behalf of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, has undertaken research to develop an evidence base to support the development of a national clustering policy and framework.
