If you import most products from the UK, you will be using Wood Packaging Material (WPM). This could be in the form of pallets, crates, dunnage etc. used in international trade for the transport of goods of all kinds. Post Brexit, all Wood Packaging Material will be subject to an International phytosanitary measure called ISPM 15.
This measure, developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), sets out standards for the phytosanitary treatment and marking of WPM such as pallets, crates, dunnage etc. used in international trade for the transport of goods of all kinds.
Post Brexit, all goods shipped from the UK to EU countries that uses WPM will be subject to ISPM15, and all consignments must comply with this.
