To apply for replacement of loose furniture please submit to furnitureequipment@education.gov.ie :
1) Application form

2) ETB’s supporting letter (if the School is under the ETB)
3) Selection of photographs of the old, damaged furniture in need of replacement taken in a classroom setting;*
4) Order form from the relevant supplier as per Central framework in place.
a) If the total of the furniture is under €100,000 copy the relevant activation form (NAGF) onto your School’s letterhead, complete it and email to:

b) Once the supplier has received and accepted the completed activation form, they will send you an information pack and the order form.
c) Choose your furniture requirements carefully, taking into consideration room and class sizes, sign it and send it back to the supplier.
d) Complete the order form with the furniture and the required quantity. Verify the details with the contractor. (The verification refers to the need to confirm the correct codes with the contractor as the Department’s Furniture and Equipment Team may not be in a position to identify the difference between size 1 and size 2 chairs for example.)
Once the relevant order details have been confirmed the order form should be submitted to the Department.
In the Department’s approval process, the following criteria will be considered:
- Current enrolment status in the school;
- The level of damage to the furniture as shown in the photographs;
- Any additional information that the school may have provided;
- Whether the school has received any funding for furniture replacement in the past 10 years.
