The Messaging Building Block offers government agencies a secure, unified and user-friendly way to talk to the public .

It allows you to send emails and text messages to users across various channels, set up reminders and notifications, and make reusable templates.

The solution is currently being deployed in UAT (testing site). Our aim is to have completely replaced the current Digital Postbox by the end of May 2025.

Contact the public through their chosen method of communication, whether that's email, text message or through the electronic postbox.

Reusable Templates

Easily create templates for any type of communication (for example, confirmation notices, reminders and success notifications) in both English and Irish. This will ensure consistency and streamline your processes.

Messaging Building Block meets with accessibility regulations, such as the EU Web Accessibility Directive and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, ensuring that all users can access and interact with their messages.

Recipient Management

Search, add and manage individual recipients, and save time by bulk-importing contacts via CSV.

Schedule Messages

Send messages immediately, or schedule them to arrive at whatever time you choose.

Track Message Delivery Statuses

Stay up to date with the status of your messages, including whether your message has been delivered or seen. You can also view detailed message event logs with timestamped status updates.

Secure Attachments

Send encrypted attachments stored securely in the cloud.
