Introduction

The Office of Public Works, Ireland’s lead agency for flood risk management, has many roles to manage Ireland’s flood risk. These can be categorised under the following areas:

Where Can I find out About flooding in my Area

The OPW has developed a website, www.floodinfo.ie, that is interactive and you can search for a location of your interest to view:

• the flood maps for that community (where they are available),

• the measures completed, underway and planned to manage the flood risk in that location, and

• report a flood event in an area.
