The Office of Public Works is delighted to announce the launch of ‘Symbols of Ireland’ group exhibition by Feltmakers Ireland in the Phoenix Park Visitors Centre, Dublin. Officially opened by Sabina Higgins, this exciting exhibition features the remarkable work of 48 artists who specialise in wool and felting techniques.

‘Symbols of Ireland’ exhibition celebrates Ireland’s diverse cultural heritage through the medium of felt. The artists delve into Irish symbols and traditions, blending ancient and modern influences in their creations. The pieces on display feature a variety of felting techniques, including wet felting, needle felting, and innovative combinations of both, highlighting the creativity and skill of the artists in merging heritage with contemporary artistry. This must see exhibition showcases a diverse and inspiring collection of wall art, sculptures and wearable pieces, all crafted from Merino and Irish wool.
