The Minister of State for International Development and the Diaspora, Seán Fleming, today invited humanitarian experts to apply to join Ireland’s Rapid Response Roster.
The Rapid Response Corps is a roster of skilled humanitarian experts who deploy at short notice to work around the world with UN agencies. Rapid responders provide support in humanitarian coordination, protection, gender equality, nutrition, information management, and other areas.
Minister Fleming said:
"Members of Ireland’s Rapid Response Roster are at the forefront of the UN’s response to natural disasters, conflicts and other crises. Each of our deployed experts has made a difference in the lives of ordinary people facing impossible circumstances. We are now looking to add new experts to the Roster. They will be part of Ireland’s humanitarian response around the world."
In this recruitment, experts in the following areas are invited to apply:
Rapid Response Roster members are required to have both professional qualifications and experience relevant to the area of expertise, and to have at least five years’ experience of working in overseas humanitarian settings.
Information about the recruitment process, including full details on the skills profiles being recruited, is available in the Candidate Information Booklet on the Irish Aid website.
The closing date for applications is 5pm Irish time, 11 April 2023.
