The Minister for Finance Jack Chambers has today (Friday) reappointed two members to the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council. Dr Adele Bergin and Mr Alessandro Giustiniani’s first terms as members of the Fiscal Council expire at the end of this year. Their second term will begin on 1 January 2025.
Minister Chambers said:
“I am delighted that Dr Bergin and Mr Giustiniani have both agreed to make themselves available for reappointment to the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council. I know they will continue to make a positive contribution to the important work of the Fiscal Council and I wish them every success in their roles."
Members of the Council can serve no more than three consecutive terms but are eligible for reappointment at a later time as outlined in the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2012 (as amended).
