Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan TD, has paid tribute to Irish broadcaster, Larry Gogan, who passed away at age 81.
Minister Madigan said:
"We have lost another of our cherished broadcasters. He was loved by the listeners and artists alike. My condolences to his family and friends. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam uasal."
A native of Dublin, Larry Gogan has worked in broadcasting for six decades. He worked as a DJ with RTÉ 2FM for 40 years before moving on to RTÉ Gold. He will be best known for his Just A Minute Quiz and The Golden Hour.
He is predeceased by his wife Florrie and survived by his five children Gerard, Orla, Gráinne, David and Sinéad.
