Dublin City University has recently launched a survey to measure public opinion on risks facing Irish society as part of the national risk assessment process. Engagement with the survey will help shape the future of risk management and emergency preparedness in Ireland.
Led by the Department of Defence, the results of this survey will help build a shared understanding of the challenges to be addressed and will feed into a cross-government process, to quantify the key risks that Ireland faces in the coming three years.

As part of an EU-wide civil protection process, Ireland carries out a national risk assessment every three years.
This cross-government assessment of national risk is led by the Department of Defence with the support of Dublin City University.
The national risk assessment brings together experts from across government to assess the key strategic risks facing Ireland. It is based on best international practice and standards.
