There was a delay in payment to a number of Department of Social Protection customers who were due to receive their social welfare payment in their bank account today, Wednesday, 2 March 2016.
Bank of Ireland customers and AIB customers due to receive social welfare payments in their accounts this morning have now had their accounts credited this afternoon.
Ulster Bank is helping affected customers through its emergency cash access by visiting a branch with valid ID or by calling 1850 424 365.
If this delay causes particular issues or concerns for individual Permanent TSB Customers, they should contact their local Permanent TSB branch and advise them of the issue. Permanent TSB will endeavour to facilitate customers where possible.
Customers of all other Banks will receive their payment in their accounts tomorrow.
Any customer experiencing difficulties as a result of this may contact their local community welfare service of the Department for assistance.
The Department of Social Protection apologises for the inconvenience caused.
