The event is launched by Dundalk F.C. Manager, Stephen Kenny.
Over 50 employers will be in attendance on the day, including PayPal, First Derivatives, the Irish Hotel Federation, An Garda Síochána and the Public Appointments Commission. Sectors represented include healthcare, customer service, finance, retail, engineering, IT, hospitality and the food industry.

One-to-one coaching clinics will provide tailored recruitment and CV preparation advice to candidates on the day and a range of seminars will take place throughout the event to share advice and information. As well as local job opportunities, a range of vacancies and positions in the county, cross border, and throughout Europe will be on display at the event.
The event is free for jobseekers to attend but places are limited. Jobseekers should register as soon as possible at https://dundalkjobsfair.eventbrite.ie.

EURES Services
EURES (European Employment Service) is a European-wide initiative that has been in place since 1993 and assists jobseekers to take up employment within the EU. It is a network of all the public employment services in the EU and the European Economic Area. Through EURES, public employment services share their employment vacancies and services with each other. The role of EURES is to provide information and advice on job opportunities in the EU/EEA. The EURES service is free of charge. Further information is available from the website www.eures.europa.eu.
For Jobseekers
The two main obstacles for Irish jobseekers in availing of opportunities in the European Labour Market are language and financial support. EURES Ireland provides key supports to address these challenges for jobseekers. Any such employment opportunities brought to the attention of jobseekers by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection outside of Ireland are completely voluntary and people who do not avail of any such opportunities will not lose their social welfare entitlements here. It is an opportunity for jobseekers in Ireland to seek work in the wider European market and equally. It also provides jobseekers abroad with an opportunity to find work with companies based here in Ireland where such vacancies cannot be filled by jobseekers in Ireland.
For Employers
Supporting employers with specialist hard to fill vacancies including language skills is a key objective of EURES Ireland to help attract and retain multinational companies based in Ireland particularly in the Technology and Business Services sectors. The EU labour market is a single market and all vacancies in every Member State are available to all citizens in every Member State. There is a legal obligation on the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection to make every European vacancy available to Irish citizens. In the same way every Irish vacancy is available on an equal basis to every European citizen.
