The Minister for Finance Jack Chambers has welcomed the transfer by NAMA of €400 million of its lifetime surplus to the Exchequer. This brings the total contribution from NAMA to the Exchequer to €4.65 billion to date, which comprises €4.25 billion in cash surplus payments and over €400 million in corporation tax.
The Minister said:
“Today’s transfer of €400 million of NAMA’s lifetime surplus to the Exchequer represents another considerable achievement as the Agency continues its phased and orderly wind down.
"NAMA will continue to deliver on its mandate to maximise the return for the State from its remaining portfolio prior to its conclusion at the end of 2025. I have every confidence that NAMA will continue to deliver the best value from its remaining assets, working towards delivering on its overall projected lifetime surplus of €5.2 billion to the Exchequer by the time it concludes its work.”
