For the second year in a row, the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection has a stand at the Pregnancy & Baby Fair at the RDS. Experienced Department staff will be present to provide information on the wide range of supports available from the Department for families with children.
The Minister is attending on Sunday to launch a new Department booklet – “Your Guide to Our Schemes and Services: Families and Children.” This booklet provides detailed scheme information for families and parents in a single easy to read format and covers topics including Supports for New Parents, Supports for Parents & Guardians with Children, Supports for Working Families and Supports for Families with Children who are Ill or have a Disability. Copies will be made available to visitors to the stand.
The Department encourages anyone attending the Fair this weekend to visit the officials at the stand to discuss our schemes and services.
Speaking about the Department’s presence at the Fair, the Minister said “the Pregnancy and Baby Fair is an excellent opportunity for the Department to reach out and meet people at an important time in their lives – when they’re planning for, expecting or have just had a new baby. The Department has a wide range of supports for every stage of family life. Officials will be available to provide information on our services.”
