Principal Officer, The Economic Development and Digital Unit

The Economic Development and Digital Unit supports the work of the Taoiseach and Government towards a resilient and sustainable economy with a particular focus on quality of life, and driving our digital transition across the economy and society. This is achieved primarily through the delivery of a range of commitments in the Programme for Government, including the delivery of an Economic Recovery Plan, focused on building resilience across our enterprises and sectors, an inclusive and balanced recovery, and future proofing our economy and society. The Unit is focused on progressing key commitments within the Plan, such as the development of a Well-being Framework for Ireland, and developing and implementing a National Digital Strategy. The Unit also maintains an overview of progress in key policy and sectoral areas. It supports a Senior Officials Group on Digital Issues, and an Inter-Departmental Group on Well-Being, with work overseen by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Recovery and Investment.
