The EU and Public Service Delivery Division supports the Department’s strategic goals of enhancing governance, building capacity and delivering effectively. This includes:
• promoting and supporting open, accountable and transparent government and public administration in the Public Service
• building trust in our administration and reinforcing democracy
• promoting effective corporate governance and accountability frameworks
• coordinating and overseeing the implementation of a range of EU programmes and funds and contributing to EU policy; promoting North-South cooperation including through PEACE PLUS
• engaging collaboratively with other public bodies, with counterparts in other countries and at EU and OECD level
• responsibility for the Department’s input into progressing policy development for critical public service delivery in healthcare, with the Department of Health accounting for one quarter of total gross voted spending in REV 2025.
