Facts

1. The applicant states in his application that on [ ] while [ ] he was attacked by a number of youths. He reported the matter to the gardai and two youths were prosecuted in [ ] District Court.

2. The applicant submitted a report from his dentist in relation to the dental injury he received from the incident and two receipts.


Engagement with the tribunal

3. On [ ] the tribunal wrote to the applicant and requested an amended dental report with a breakdown of charges to date and estimate of costs into the future. The applicant did not respond to this letter.

4. The tribunal wrote to the applicant on [ ] enquiring if he wished to pursue his application and no response was received to that letter.

5. Paragraph 11 of the Scheme provides "no compensation will be payable to an applicant who has not, in the opinion of the tribunal, given the tribunal all reasonable assistance, in relation to any medical report that it may require, and otherwise."


Decision

6. I am of the opinion that all reasonable assistance has not been provided in this application. The tribunal wrote to the applicant requesting information and that information was not forthcoming. I make no award in this case.
