On the [ ] the Applicant submitted that shortly before [ ] pm he was assaulted when he was sitting on the back of a bench outside a café in [ ]. The Applicant submitted that the offender caught him twice on the lower lip busting it. The Applicant was [ ] years of age at the time and was attending school. He has no previous convictions and the matter went before the District Court. Pursuant to the terms of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal, the Tribunal may make an award to compensate a victim of crime in respect of any special damages incurred. The Applicant did not submit any vouchers or evidence of any special damages incurred as a result of the assault he sustained and therefore in this instance the Tribunal makes no award.
