Child Maintenance

Child maintenance is the regular financial support a parent gives to help with the costs of raising a child. All parents have a legal obligation to provide financial support for their children based on what they can afford.

Child maintenance payments help provide stability and security for children across the country. The Government is working to make payment of child maintenance and other family justice processes easier.
