Culture Night 2025

Culture Night 2025 1000x600

Last Friday night, the Department welcomed over 150 members of the public to our headquarters at 51 Saint Stephen's Green to celebrate the 20th edition of Culture Night. This was the Department's second back to back sold out Culture Night event and provided an opportunity for us to once again support the spirit of the night in celebrating our rich culture, history and creativity, while actively promoting public engagement and participation.

Attendees were invited to explore records never before seen in public, exhibiting some noteworthy historical and political figures, detailing how migration influenced and contributed to the development of our economy, infrastructure and modern culture.

There was also a Thursday lunchtime event titled, "A Celebration of Cultural Inheritances in the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration", that was recorded and replayed as part of Culture Night's online programme.

The event included songs in Filipino, French, Scottish Gaelic, Irish, English, Latin, and Zulu, performed by the Department Choir, individual staff members and musicians, and a guest singer.
